5k and 10k training for Baltimore running festival

Starts Saturday August 24th

Targeting Baltimore Marathon on October 19th.

Training can be modified for any fall races.

Training groups are a fun and social way to meet your running goals. Structured for beginners, through to the experienced runner.

We will meet 2 times a week, with an optional community run on Thursdays.

You will receive a full training plan and coaching to ensure you are race ready. Runners also receive high quality in style premiums.

Our members utilize a slack channel to plan runs outside of group, social happenings, talk about new gear, share pictures and more!

There’s a pace buddy for everyone and often someone who can be convinced to grab a drink or hangout after a run.

Hills or interval workout

Who are training groups for?

For casual and serious runners alike. For those who want a running community, need a little more motivation to get out the door and like for fun routes and training logistics to be planned for them.

It is recommended that you can comfortably run 8 miles to start the full marathon program and 5 miles for the half marathon.

Do I have to come to every session?

Nope! You are the master of your fate, often times our runners have vacations, work conflicts or just need a break and are still confident going into race day.

What kind of coaching support will I receive?

Our coaches run with the group at all pace levels. Stretching, nutrition, sleep, shoes and the like are often conversations our coaches are very experienced in and happy to discuss with you. Your schedule for race preparation will be shared via email and is a collaborative approach with coaches.

I am not running the target races

Not a problem. If there’s a different target race the training plan can be modified by coaches. If you are interested in running without a target race, this is easily doable as well.

I can’t make Tuesday nights, what do I do?

We encourage you to make what you can, it also should be noted that as many of our runners live in the area that sometimes runs have ‘make up days’ that a few members have decided to do the workout then. In the past smaller groups have preferred the morning for these workouts and coordinated a meet up time among themselves.

What is the pace, who will I run with?

Our training pace falls comfortably between 9 to 12 minutes. Within this range runners generally find multiple buddies who are at their running skill level.

Is there parking at Reflex Fitness?

YES! The gym Reflex has FREE parking for the duration of our runs.
